What are the benefits of listing my space?
As well as earning money every time your space is booked, you are connecting with exciting creatives, influencers, brands and entrepreneurs and can enjoy the thrill of seeing your space in photoshoots, social media campaigns, adverts, editorials and more. By joining our community you are also supporting exciting emerging brands and new creative talents who are looking for a skillfully curated interior exactly like yours.
Do I have to list my whole property?
You can choose to either list your whole property or parts thereof (just remember to reflect this is your hourly rate). When you register your property you can breakdown which rooms are available to use. If you have a very large property that you would like to break down into areas that can be booked separately for a lower hourly rate you can add them as individual properties on the Host Dashboard.
What makes Styled Home Studios different?
All of our spaces have a set hourly rate, giving greater flexibility to both Host and Creator. We only take a 15% commission on bookings so on average Hosts take home more than with a traditional agency. We are also more than just a listing site. We handpick properties across the UK for their styling and personality with the desire to open up the location home market for entrepreneurs, independent brands & creatives.
What do you mean by ‘Creator’ and ‘Host’?
Our Hosts are the owners of the space and the Creator is the person that makes the booking and uses the space to create their content.
How is overtime managed?
We know that sometimes shoots can overrun, which is why we have a brilliantly simple overtime system. Overtime is at the discretion of the Host on the day and is charged at 1.5 times the hourly rate. Creators can add the agreed amount of overtime to their booking from inside their Styled Home Studios Dashboard. The amount will be charged to the original card or a new payment method can be added.
What about insurance?
All Creators must confirm that they have the required minimum Public Liability insurance of £1,000,000 to book a space via Styled Home Studios. You can obtain short or long term cover, with immediate effect here. Hosts have the right to request proof of insurance so if requested please be ready to provide your certificate of insurance prior to your shoot.
We also recommend that new Hosts check their home insurance policies and talk to their insurer to update their policy if necessary.
What sort of projects are booked through Styled Home Studios?
We help creative professionals and businesses of all sizes to book locations for a wide variety of creative productions and brand events. This includes commercial photography and filming, editorial photoshoots, personal branding as well as television and film shoots. Brand events include PR launches, influencer events, masterclasses and corporate team working days.
How do I book a location?
When you’ve found your ideal location we recommend sending an enquiry via direct message to the Host first to check availability. Please give them as much information about your project as possible. When you would like to make a booking use the ‘book now’ button and submit your booking request. Your booking will be sent to the Host to review and your card will not be charged until they approve the booking. Once the booking has been approved your card will be charged and your booking confirmed. You will receive an email with the location’s full address. If the Host has to decline your booking you will not be charged and will be notified by email.
How many hours is a full day shoot?
Our system classes shoots of 8 hours and over as a full day. Hosts have the option to apply a 10% discount to full day bookings, which will also apply to multiple day shoots.
